G&M provides a broad range of environmental services to meet our clients needs whether it be due diligence, regulatory (MOE or TSSA), or as required by a third party, such as a lending institution. Our projects are supported by G&M’s multi-disciplinary group of professionals and hydrogeology specialists.

G&M has provided engineering services in relation to numerous underground fuel storage tank removals from service stations, industrial buildings and individual residences. In order to support our client’s needs we have completed the associated investigations, soil and water sampling, remediation, documentation and regulatory support (TSSA and/or MOE).
G&M regularly conducts Phased ESAs for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. These Phased ESAs have been conducted to support an array of requirements including property transfer, due diligence, financing, Record of Site Conditions (RSCs), and property development. Our clients have ranged from banks and lending institutions, to insurance companies and Municipalities, and to private individuals.
G&M evaluates remedial options based on remedial goals and site-specific requirements. Once the favoured remedial program has been selected and developed, G&M has been involved with numerous site remediation programs involving an array of contaminant types in varying geologic conditions. G&M have implemented various remedial approaches including excavation and off-site disposal, in-situ remediation (using both oxidation and enhanced biodegradation), ex-situ remediation, and the implementation of Risk Management Measures such as capping.
G&M has completed a detailed characterization study of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in a local bedrock aquifer. The program involved rock coring, geological, geophysical and hydro-physical logging, installation and maintenance of numerous multi-level groundwater monitoring wells, aquifer testing, packer testing, mapping of bedrock flow zones and confining layers and regular groundwater quality sampling.
G&M is experienced in the preparation of Certificate of Approval Applications for Air and Noise and Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling Reports for facilities using standby power generators, industrial processes, paint booths and combustion heating systems. Our work includes an assessment of all known and potential on-site air contaminant sources and establishment of emission parameters.
