G&M has extensive experience in the design of municipal services, site grading and stormwater management systems to support multi-residential, commercial, institutional and industrial developments. The land development team’s experience includes new construction, building and/or parking lot expansions and in-fill developments. G&M offers a full range of services including conceptual designs, preliminary designs to support Zone Change applications and detailed design to support Site Plan applications.

  • Topographic and municipal detail surveys and preparation of base plans
  • Design of site services, including water, sanitary and storm services
  • Design of site grading and drainage
  • Design of stormwater management facilities to meet municipal, provincial and conservation authorities design guidelines

  • Design of sediment and erosion control measures for implementation during construction
  • Preparation of applications to support municipal, provincial and conservation authority permit requirements

  • Preparation of tender documents for site servicing, grading and stormwater management facilities

  • Contract administration, including co-ordination of site meetings, preparation of payment certificates and letters of compliance

Recent Projects

Fergus OPP Site Plan, Fergus, ON

G&M prepared a site servicing and stormwater management report in support of a site plan application for a new OPP detachment building in Fergus. G&M are also in the process of conducting construction inspection and contract administration for the site.

Mountford Drive Condominiums, Guelph, ON

G&M developed the site plan, grading and drainage plan and servicing plan for this 2.43 hectare site which is in the process of being developed into a housing complex with 84 stacked housing units, two multi-storey apartment structures and associated asphalt parking and grassed areas.

Boston Pizza, Owen Sound, ON

G&M designed on-site services, developed a site plan and stormwater management plan and was responsible for field review and materials testing during construction of this restaurant.

Ecole Saint Dominique Savio, Owen Sound, ON

G&M designed on-site services, developed a site plan and stormwater management plan and completed structural design for this new school building. G&M also completed field review and materials testing during construction and completed the planning, design and construction inspection of off-site services including arterial roads, storm and sanitary sewers and watermains.

Owen Sound Courthouse, Owen Sound, ON

G&M completed the design of site services for the property, developed the site plan and stormwater management plan and also designed a retaining wall and completed field review during construction of this new courthouse.

Highland Road/Ira Needles Road Blvd Site Plan Design, Kitchener, ON

G&M was responsible for the development of a site plan and grading plans to support the development of a new housing complex at the intersection of these two roads. G&M conducted a topographical survey of the study area and completed design of the new road layouts.
